Our History
The foundation of Kyetume School of Nursing and Midwifery dates back to 1985, when it was initiated as a modest domiciliary clinic by a trained Enrolled Midwife aiming to deliver vital health services to the local community. To bridge healthcare gaps, the clinic began training village volunteers through a one-year program, which later evolved into a formal two-year Nursing Assistants course. Driven by a vision for higher academic standards and professional medical development, the institution formally upgraded in 2013 into a fully licensed and recognized School of Nursing and Midwifery.
